Our Mission

MM-IW exists to raise awareness of the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and to help connect families, communities, and concerned individuals with organizations and resources that can provide assistance.

Too many Indigenous women and girls have disappeared or lost their lives while their stories received too little attention. Every number represents a person, a family, and a community.

This site is dedicated to awareness, remembrance, and access to information. It is not a law-enforcement agency or emergency service. Its purpose is to help people find established organizations, official resources, reporting information, and support.

Do not look away. Remember their names. Remember their stories. Remember them.

What You Can Do

Awareness matters, but awareness becomes more powerful when it leads to action.

Learn the names and stories of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Share verified information. Support Indigenous-led organizations. Learn where families can find assistance, and know where to report information that may help bring someone home.

FIND HELP. FIND INFORMATION. TAKE ACTION

Families, advocates, and community members should not have to search alone. Our Resources page provides direct links to Indigenous-led organizations, government agencies, case information, reporting resources, and support services.
